BifidoBiotics

A033 from Allergy Research: 60 cps BifidoBiotics with L. sporogenes

Bifido bacteria are the most common probiotic micro-organisms in the human intestine, outnumbering even Lactobacillus acidophilus. They produce lactic, formic, and acetic acids, all of which help them compete successfully both against E. coli, Shiegella, Clostridium and other putrefactive bacteria, and against the yeast Candida albicans.
Lactobacillus sporogenes is uniquely pre-encapsulated in spores that resist the action of antibiotics.
It is non-dairy, and is derived from malt.
Each capsule contains 550 mg of bifidobacteria and 60 mg of Lactobacillus sporogenes.

GI Flora

A060 from Allergy Research: GI Flora 60 cps

Acidophilus gets its name from the fact that it lives and grows in an acid environment. When we provide a favorable acid environment for the acidophilus they produce there own vitamins, increase the absorption of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, normalize cholesterol levels of the blood, maintains an antibacillus coli environment in the intestinal tract, help maintain bowel regularity, may assist persons with a lactose intolerance, reduces risk of colon cancer.
Acidophilus contributes to the maintenance of the acid Ph; a natural antibiotic, is active against a host of bacteria, certain strains have antifungal and antiviral function. The bacteria in a healthy colon ideally should be at least 85 percent lactobacteria and no more than 15 percent coliform bacteria. The typical colon bacterial count in our society is the reverse of what it should be, 15 percent lactobacteria and 85 percent coliform bacteria.
Not all acidophilus is the same, although the claims and labels look similar there are many strains that are not effective or have a low bacteriologic count due to manufacturing, storage and handling.
Important ingredients and factors in any intestinal flora are having high (multi billion) active cells of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus Bifidus and Streptococcus faecium per capsule.

Latero-Flora Balance

W010 from O'donnell Formulas: 350 mg, 60 cps Latero-Flora

It is used for Chronic Fatigue Patients, Candida, Epstein Barr Virus, Cytomegalovirus, a variety of parasites, Herpes, Clostridium Difficile, Staph Aureus and a variety of other non-indigenous bacteria, gastrointestinal symptoms, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, food sensitivities and enhancing digestive capacities, immune systems, Nail fungus.
Latero-Flora, Bacillus Laterosporus is naturally present in our food chain, so it is sold as a food substance. In a purely organic diet, Bacillus Laterosporus occurs naturally. In a typical modern American or European diet, for instance, we would find little or none.
The product helps restore normal, intestinal bacterial flora by aiding in the elimination of pathogens.
Side Effects - Yeast cells will be killed suddenly and the toxins formed from this "die off" can at times overwhelm the user causing the following symptoms: Gas, Foggy thinking, blurred vision (almost as if drunk) which usually appears between the second and fifth day after beginning the product and can last for 1 to 2 weeks. If these symptoms become severe: The dosage should be cut in half until they subside.

Saccharomyces boulardii

A130 from Allergy Research: 50 cps

3 billion active cells per capsule Saccharomyces boulardii is a single celled yeast fungus, but in contrast to the fungus Candida ablicans it is nontoxic and beneficial to its host. Rather than being a potential cause of disease, S. boulardii contributes to the naturally beneficial balance of microorganisms in the intestinal tract.
S. boulardii is a uniquely "probiotic" yeast. It produces lactic acid, which helps keep the intestinal lumen optimal for the probiotic bacteria: and it produces B vitamins.
It tends to "crowd" out Candida ablicans. S. boulardii may buy time for the intestinal microecology to become restabilized homeostatically, after treatments directed against pathogens.
It can successfully compete in the GI tract with toxic bacteria (such as Clostridium difficile, which can cause diarrhea) and potentially-pathogenic yeasts (including Candida albicans). S. boulardii is also a hardy probiotic organism-it is resistant to antibiotics, to sulfonamides, and to the digestive juices.
Taken orally, S. boulardii can prime the complement pathway of the blood, and boost the production of secretory Immunoglobulin A (s-IgA), an antibody which is the first line of immune defense against undesirable organisms invading the intestinal tract.
In addition to antagonizing overgrowth of the intestinal lumen by unwanted bacteria or fungi, the presence of S.boulardii may also help inhibit intestinal damage from bacterial toxins.

SymBiotics

A133 from Allergy Research: 140 gms

SymbioticsTM with FOS provides nine symbiotically distinct strains of intestinal probiotics, in a matrix of FructoOligoSaccharides (FOS). The probiotic strains included in the product are lactobacillus acidophilus, L. rhamnosue A, L. rhamnosus B, L. bifidus, L. bulgaricus and L. casei (major contributors to fermented foods) and of special note Lactobacillus sporogenes, a particularly hardy and antibiotic resistant form of lactobacillus. Bifidobacteriumlongum and B. breve are present in high potency as is streptococcus thermophilus. FOS are soluble fiber from edible plants, which are utilized selectively as food by certain lactic acid producing probiotic microflora, such as bifidus and lactobacillus. As a result of this action the FOS enhance a favorable intestinal balance of the beneficial probiotic microflora in the intestines, as well as lowering gut PH.
